Favorite Restaurant

 

The restaurant owner saw from the cash counter that his regular customer had arrived at table number 4. He was sitting at the table and calling the waiter for food. But the waiter was late. Seeing this, the restaurant owner himself came and said, ‘Sorry, you know my restaurant is small. There are only 3 waiters. Two of them are on vacation. And the one who is there is new. That’s why he doesn’t realize you are my regular customer.’

The restaurant owner name was Benjamin. An elderly gentleman. A small restaurant on the side of the road. He was doing well by selling coffee and fast food. I heard from him that there is no one in this world who is his own. He lost his parents when he was young. He grew up with a lot of hardship. He came to this city from another city to earn money. He lived in a small city, so there were not many job opportunities. In fact, it is not right to call it a city. It is better to call it a village. Slowly he came to love this city as his own. First, he worked as a waiter at a street food shop on the side of the road. From there, he gradually became the owner of his own restaurant through his own hard work. He himself never expected that he would ever be the owner of such a restaurant. What he has become is definitely due to his own ability.

I also have another favorite restaurant like this. Its owner’s name is Sebastian. There is not a day that I don’t go to one of these two restaurants. I don’t know why, but I prefer the food of these two small restaurants in this city. If I ever go with someone, I may have to go to their favorite restaurant, but these two restaurants are my favorite. I even had a fight with a friend once about which one is in favor of these two restaurants. But since I have been out of town for office work for the past month, I have not been able to go to either of the two restaurants for the past month. I returned my home after finishing my office work yesterday. So I have come to the restaurant today.

Benjamin: First tell me, how are you? I haven’t seen you almost a month, where have you been?

Me: I’m fine. I went out of town for office work. Give me the best item from your menu today.

‘Did you come today or yesterday?’ Benjamin asked with a smile, then asked the waiter to bring me the best item and walked towards the other customer.

In the last 2 years, I have developed good friendships with Benjamin & Sebastian. I don’t really hang out much due to pressure of work. So, I don’t have many friends except for those two. On top of that, I’m quite a foodie. And their items are so tasty. So I have a little more sincerity towards them.

The waiter brought a new item. I have never eaten this before. The food was so tasty that I was overwhelmed with emotion. I get very annoyed when someone disturbs me while eating. While I was eating, my mobile phone rang. My mother had called me. I hung up the first time. I also hung up the second time it rang. I didn’t want to hang up the third time.

Mom said, ‘Have you eaten?’ I said, ‘You know. It’s Sunday. And I don’t pick up the phone when I get something I like to eat.’ Mom said, ‘Sorry, I forgot. I found some more girls for your marriage. I will send their pictures and details to your WhatsApp. Remember.’ I said, ‘Okay. Let me eat now.’

Now Benjamin came closer and said, ‘Did your mom call you? And how long will you stay single like this? Get married now.’ I said, ‘For the last 3-4 months, mom and my aunt have been giving details of girls one after another. I am meeting them but I don’t want to get married at all.’ Benjamin said, ‘Don’t be a virgin like me.’ I said, ‘Apart from all this tell me first, I told you about opening another branch of your restaurant. Have you thought of something? If you want, I can get you the tender for the canteen where I work. Your restaurant will run very well.’ Benjamin said, ‘it’s very difficult to run two brances alone. But if I find a way, I’ll let you know.’

As I spoke like this, my food was getting stuck in my throat. After drinking some water and looking at table number 3, I saw a girl sitting there. I know the girl. The girl’s office on one of the floors of the building where I have my office. I often meet the girl while go up and down in the elevator. But we never talked. I am a bit of an introvert anyway. And the girl also goes up and down in the elevator with her colleagues most of the time. I don’t know the girl’s name or address. But even though the girl is not so beautiful, there is such an allure in the girl’s face that you can’t help but stare at her.

I asked Benjamin, ‘Well, who is the girl? I have never seen her before.’

Although the restaurant is small but it is almost two decades old. So Benjamin knows all the news about who comes to Benjamin’s place and where it comes from. Benjamin smiled and said, ‘That girl? She has been coming here every Sunday for the past month. The girl said that she lives next door.’

Meanwhile, the girl was also calling the waiter exactly like me. But the waiter was not responding. So Benjamin came close to my ear with a smiling face and whispered, ‘What? Are you going to open another branch? I smiled & replied, a little embarrassed, ‘No.’

Reilly & Adam

 

 It was a long time ago. It was evening. The commander was riding a horse. The next morning, when he reached the river. He would take a boat & set off west. His name was Adam. He was on leave, so he was going. It was night. The horse was going through the forest. After a while, he realized that he had come the wrong way.

While thinking about this, the robbers attacked him, caught him & took him to their camp. On the way Adam said, ‘What is the reason of taking me? You will not get anything from me.’

In the mean time, it is better to tell a little more about Adam. Adam was a son of a rich man. When the kingdom where they lived were taken over by another king. Then his parents were killed & he fled to the kingdom of the current king. Adam goal was to establish himself from here & restore his original kingdom where they were lived. Meanwhile, the leader of the robbers who were taking him also lost his property & formed a band of robbers. His main goal was to marry his daughter to Adam. The leader of the robbers had tried before. But Adam did not agree to marry.

It was almost dawn. When the robbers brought Adam before their leader the leader said, ‘You have come at a good time. And in two days you will marry my daughter. Your wedding dress & accessories have also been brought.

Adam said, ‘Don’t be unfair to me. I have never seen your daughter. How can I marry an unknown person?’

The chief said, ‘It’s not the matter. My daughter likes you & it’s the only matter. And since you are going to be my son-in-law, I don’t want to keep you imprisoned. Just remember that you are not in prison, don’t think that you can escape from here if you want. So, don’t try to escape unnecessarily. Apart from that, you can do whatever you want.

It was late ate night. Adam couldn’t sleep. So he sat beside a river flowing nearby. Suddenly, a girl came next to him & stood with her back to him and said, ‘I’m the chief’s daughter. My name is Reilly. I like you very much. But I heard that you don’t want to marry me. It could be that I’m not very beautiful. Adam said, ‘I know you are very beautiful.’ Reilly said, ‘Then why don’t you want to marry me?’

Adam said, ‘I’m telling you the reason. The princess of the kingdom I live in is my childhood friend. Her name is Noah. We used to play together. At that time, the king of the neighboring kingdom sent a marriage proposal for his son. Since our king did not agree, the neighboring king captured our kingdom. I have decided that I will not marry until Noah & her family are freed from the captivity of the neighboring king. But now if your father forces me to marry you, my commitment will be broken.

Reilly said, ‘Don’t worry. I will make all arrangements for you to escape from here. I will make you out of here myself. But on one condition, I will bind fold you. Because we don’t want anyone to know about our address.’

At night, Reilly brought Adam out in this way, behind everyone’s eyes. Almost at dawn, Reilly brought Adam out of the forest & said that now you will not have any problems. Reilly said, ‘But after I leave here you will open your eyes.’

After a while, Adam opened his eyes & saw that Reilly was not there. Now Adam left for home. And finally he reached home. When he reached home, he came to know that Noah committed suicide when she forced to marry. And the king & queen, who were imprisoned in that grief, also died.

In despair, Adam left to return to the kingdom where he was the commander. While passing by the forest, he went into the forest to meet Reilly. While searching, he found Reilly near that river. He told her everything. He also said that I really loved Noah. Now there is no one left in this world to call me. Now Reilly turned to Adam & held his hand. Reilly said, ‘Who said you have no one? Here I’m. I’ll be by your side for the rest of our life. You will never have to go back from here.’

Finally, Adam & Reilly got married & they started living happily ever after.

Revenge

 

It was class 12, one day during the class break we were sitting & chatting in the class. At that time I heard the sound of crying from the back bench. Shocked, I turned around & saw Sadie banging her head on the bench & crying. I went to her & asked, ‘What happened? Why are you crying?’ While repeatedly patting her head & asking questions, she took out her mobile phone from her pocket. She took out her mobile phone & showed a messenger chat screenshot. This chat screenshot was of a conversation between Caleb & Madeline. Madison is also our classmate.

Caleb: I want to see you once. Please meet me tomorrow, honey.

Madeline: If I go, my friends will go with me.

Caleb: Why? Don’t you trust me?

Madeline: What to say at home if late?

Caleb: Won’t be late. Since you are in college now, it might be little late for one day. Your family should not think anything of it.

Madeline: But…

Caleb: If you believe me, you will come. I’ll be waiting.

I quickly read the screenshot & looked at Sadie’s face to make sense of it. But before she could say anything, Madison’s excited voice was heard in the distance. Madison said to Sadie, ‘This Caleb is your boyfriend, right?’ All of us in the class looked at Madison in shock as she exclaimed excitedly. Sadie Said, ‘He loves me & I love him’. Now I said angrily, ‘This is the sample of your love, isn’t it?’ Sadie started crying again. A little later, when Madison come to class, Sadie showed her the screenshot. Seeing that Madison was also embarrassed. After that everyone decided that Sadie & Madison would send this screenshot to Caleb & explain it.

The next day I came to the class & found both of them upset. When asked, they said that the Caleb gave the same answer to both of them, almost like copying & pasting. Caleb wrote, ‘When did I tell you I love you? It is a fault that girls like you do not understand the difference between friendship & love. Never try to contact me again in the future. They both sobbed again, ‘That means Caleb actually thought us as his friend.’ I said angrily, ‘Friends send such romantic message everyday, right?’ Another friend of ours, Bella said angrily, ‘Don’t Cry. Caleb cheated on you two together & you didn’t even realize it.’ Sadie & Madeline didn’t answer. Then out of curiosity I found out that Caleb is the famous lady killer of our town. His job is to seduce the girl. Many say he also had physical relations with many girls. Knowing everything, I said to Sadie & Madeline, ‘Luckily, you were not hurt like many others.’ After this incident we all started to think that a boy sitting in our city is doing such a dirty thing with girls regularly & even with our classmates & now they are mentally disturbed & we will do nothing? But we really didn’t know what to do. Even if we tell it at home we will be scolded. He said, ‘Although Caleb is also a goon, we may be less strong than Caleb but not less intelligent. We have to do something within this limited power with intelligence.’

We started thinking about what to do. Finally, we all made a plan together. A fake account was created on Facebook & a request was sent to Caleb, but he didn’t accept the request. We understand that Caleb has realized that it is a fake account. We created another new & more realistic account & sent him a request. Still he was not accepting the request so we sent him a message on messenger saying you didn’t accept my request? The reply came that do I know you? We replied that within the unknown lies the seed of the familiar. People are known from strangers. The friend request hung like this for a while. Meanwhile, as our fake account and Caleb’s mutual Facebook friends grew, one day Caleb accepted the request.

A few days later, Sadie sent a message from the account. In reply, Caleb said again, ‘Do I know you?’ Sadie wrote in response, ‘I sent the request because I thought you were familiar.’ Caleb said, ‘Actually, I don’t talk to someone unless I know them completely.’ Sadie said, ‘If you don’t say anything, how will we get to know each other?’ The chat between them continued like this. Sadie & Madeline chatted more from the account. Because they had a better idea of Caleb. One day, Caleb wanted to meet. Sadie & Madeline agreed. We managed a new mobile number to communicate with Caleb.

On the day we were supposed to meet, we waited a little distance from where we were supposed to meet. After a while Caleb came & called someone. The new number that had been taken was given one of our classmates named Sophia. When the phone vibrated, she picked up the phone & said, ‘I’m on my way.’ After a while Caleb Called again and Sophia picked up the phone & said, ‘Here I’m.’ Caleb said, ‘Are you the girl in the orange dress?’ Because a girl in an orange dress was talking on the phone next to her. This time after hanging up the phone, Caleb walked over to the girl in the orange dress & said, ‘Are you Mia?’ Because our Facebook account name was Mia & had a profile picture of nature on it. Even though some romantic quotes were posted but no pictures were uploaded to the fake account. Caleb asked for pictures several times but Sadie & Madeline refused to share. The girl replied, ‘No.’ Saying this, the girl left. After that, Caleb called repeatedly, but the Sophia didn’t answer the phone. After waiting for about an hour, Caleb left with a dark face. Because Caleb had probably never been cheated on like that before. Then Caleb sent a message on Messenger. He said, ‘why did you do this to me? I didn’t come forward to you. You came. So, why did you cheat on me like this?’ We deleted the account that day without giving any answer.

After that, we never communicated again with Caleb. We didn’t know if Caleb had recovered or not. But he definitely suffered a mental shock from that incident.
